FurrCity Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the FurrCity platform.

1. MVP / Beta Stage Disclaimer

Important Note: FurrCity is currently in its Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and Beta testing stage. The service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” Features may change, data may occasionally be reset, and the platform may experience unexpected downtime or bugs. By participating in this beta, you acknowledge and accept these operational risks.

2. Definition of Services

FurrCity is an intermediary platform that allows users to book appointments with independent third-party service providers, specifically veterinarians, pet groomers, and pet trainers.

  • FurrCity does not provide medical, veterinary, grooming, or training services directly.
  • All liability regarding the actual care, professional advice, and service delivery rests solely with the independent service provider you book.

3. User Accounts & Communications

  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information (name, email, phone) when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion during the testing phase.

4. Fees, Payments, and Discretionary Refunds

  • Discretionary Refunds: FurrCity is under no obligation to provide refunds for any transactions or bookings made through the platform. Any refunds, credits, or adjustments are granted entirely at the sole discretion of FurrCity management on a case-by-case basis.
  • FurrCity acts strictly as a booking facilitator. Disputes regarding payments made to independent providers must be handled directly with that provider.

5. Dispute Resolution

5.1 Disputes Between Users and Service Providers (Vets, Groomers, Trainers)

FurrCity is strictly a marketplace platform connecting pet owners with independent service providers.

  • No Mediation Obligation: If you have an issue, dispute, or complaint regarding the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided by a veterinarian, groomer, or trainer, you must resolve that dispute directly with the service provider.
  • Release of Liability: FurrCity is not a party to any contract or agreement between users and service providers. By using the platform, you explicitly release FurrCity, its founders, and its team from any and all claims, demands, and damages arising out of or in any way connected to disputes with a service provider.
  • Reporting Issues: While we cannot resolve disputes or pay claims, you may report unprofessional behavior to support@furrcity.com. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to remove any service provider from the platform who receives repeated complaints.

5.2 Disputes Between You and FurrCity

In the unlikely event that you have a dispute directly with FurrCity regarding the platform itself, the following process applies:

  • Informal Resolution: You agree to first contact us at support@furrcity.com and attempt to resolve the issue informally with our team.
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution: If we cannot reach an amicable resolution within 30 days of your initial email, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved through mediation or arbitration in Accra, Ghana, in accordance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798) of the Republic of Ghana. Each party will bear their own legal costs.

6. Absolute Exclusion of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FurrCity, its founders, and its team members shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, financial losses, or claims resulting from:

  • Your use, misuse, or inability to use the MVP platform.
  • The actions, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of any independent vet, groomer, or trainer booked via the app.

Zero-Claim Policy: By using this platform, you explicitly agree that you cannot file financial claims against FurrCity.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
